Bio Biography

Winter was born in Los Angeles, CA in 1996. As a teenager they graduated high school early and were accepted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on a full-ride academic scholarship after winning one of those "dream of a better tomorrow" science fairs where smart kids make legitimately advanced prototypes. Winter's project was proof of concept for theoretical solid light technology, years before LightField Labs unveiled their own SolidLight System.

Currently they reside in Santa Monica, having returned to their native Los Angeles after graduating with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. After coming out as non-binary during college Winter has been involved locally in the civil rights movement. They're not famous for it. They sometimes do street reporting during protests and have related social media, but they don't really have any sort of organized following. Maybe it's a goal for the future?

They did punch a couple of polo-wearing Nazis at Pride 2021 though. That made a few headlines in that week's news cycle.

Computer Science	With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science there's not much Winter can't do when it comes to computers, programming, networks, embedded firmware for industrial automation, and well... any electronic device really.
Digital Pursuits	Online spaces were an insulator against emotional trauma. They remain an important part of Winter's life. Virtual and mixed reality. A massive Steam library. Consoles. Old school arcades.
Leftist	Winter's political views lean far to the left. Everyone deserves healthcare. Everyone deserves an education. Everyone deserves housing. Landlords are scum. Environmentalism. Anti-racist. Anti-fascist. Pro-Abortion. Corporations are not people. Fuck the Electoral College. No one is free unless everyone is free. All Cops Are Bastards. Within the last four years Winter has begun involving themself in leftist spaces but they haven't really made a name for themself as an activist.
LGBTQIA+	LGBTQ rights are human rights. Winter has been active at Pride and other events (protests and counter-protests) since coming out as non-binary and pansexual eight or so years ago.
Got a Record	Winter has a minor criminal record with two counts of misdemeanor battery to which they pled no contest to. Each count stemmed from Pride 2021 when they punched a polo-wearing Nazi and a Nazi Mom. They're currently serving three years' summary probation. Parole officer and all. Big time criminal here. (Just kidding. None of that 'cyberterrorism' was them.)
Touching Grass	Every once in a while you've got to go outside and touch grass. Winter likes freerunning and skateboarding. They're no superstar though, just your normal, physically average, medium-sized human. They also like movie festivals, especially horror ones. Clubbing isn't out of the question either.. just don't mind the awkwardness or ask them to dance.
White Collar	Winter is gainfully employed as a Senior Software Developer at Twitch (an Amazon company) and works on the Video Codec Team improving streaming quality, motion capture, and facial recognition.
