Spade
Bitch, I was born here.
Born into the emerging chicano culture of East LA, Spade grew up on the streets of Boyle Heights, running with other boys and men his single mother wouldn't approve of, but didn't have the time or energy to stop. At some point in the 80s, Nines Rodriguez saw something in him worth preserving so he got himself embraced into the struggles of the Free States. He was there through the Riots, saw the fall of MacNeil, the loss of East LA to the Sabbat and finally stepped up into the hole left by Nines' disappearance.
- LA born, although that was many years longer ago than his age suggests, you might know him as a local, although he's moved from East to South over the decades.
- Vampire and all that entails. Though more urban thug than castle-dwelling predator.
- Hardcore Anarch, of the anarcho-mutualist, free will, Camarilla are tyrants philosophy type. This one is close to his heart and fairly easy to get him ranting about.
- Rep: Spade's been kindred in LA for four decades, a lot of them know of the one-eyed cholo Free Stater.
- The most accessible kindred for the Free States Coalition, can usually be found in The Last Round in the Warehouse District, Central City. Anyone wanting to have dealings with South LA can maybe find him or his contact details there. (OOC: Feel free to @mail Spade for meets)
- Eastside Original, gangbanger and subsequently fangbanger from East LA in the 80s. Living in and repping Southside for now, he has roots and history in East LA from as early as the 1960s all the way through to the 2000s.
- Community Service, always willing to lend a hand to help someone in need, if they're a Southsider.

- Very concerned with the ongoing state of hackey sack in South Central.
- Spade's dropped, bodykitted, Mexico Blue Nissan 240sx, late 90's model hasn't been seen for a while, Spade's been seen driving various modern black mid-range sedans since.
- A man matching Spade's description apparently danced the tango in the Moroccan with a tall blonde one night.
- Apparently if you walk the streets of the Warehouse district at night, reports vary as to whether Spade will help you out or hunt you through the darkest alleys.
- It's said Spade was seen in Club Zombie having dealings with the Hollywood Knight while getting a backrub from a Harpy.
- Supposedly he poked his own eye out with a dart while trying to throw it during a game at The Last Round.
- He'll buy a round for anyone that can beat him at five finger fillet.
- His regular table in The Last Round now has seating for 'President Stanford', 'President Tanner' and 'President Gutierrez' according to the three gold-lettered nameplates that litter it. The Stanford plaque has gone missing from his table in recent nights.
- Rumour is Spade's car got burned to the ground in the car park of a golf course in South Bay, when Geduld betrayed South LA.
A long lived set with a lot of history comparatively to most Anarch Free States sets, El Hermandad stretches roots back to its most famous leader Salvador Garcia, the Status Perfectus and the founding of the AFS. Those very same roots also taint the set somewhat, with Garcia's very well known betrayal, though his replacement Gloria Martinez did much to rehabilitate the name El Hermandad amongst the kindred of the AFS, some things never entirely go away. In recent nights El Hermandad has fallen on harder times, with membership at an all time low following the death of Loco during an assault on the Crucible in Huntington Park, October 2021.

Mongol
An Eastside Original and one of Spade's peers, Mongol and Spade often occupy a very similar position within El Hermandad and Mongol can certainly be found directing the others as confidently as any gang leader. Vice President, co-leader or just revered elder, in any case he and Spade are not often caught pulling rank on each other, mostly they seem to work together and treat each other as equals.
Yoyo
Younger in vampire terms than Mongol and Spade, Yoyo is nevertheless usually the first person Spade turns to with jobs, reliable despite his squirrelly appearance and behaviour. He can usually be found in the vicinity of The Last Round, working on his bike in the parking lot, or chilling out inside.
Chino
Slightly unsettling in appearance, not helped by permanent fangs which he doesn't seem to mind in the slightest, Chino is the youngest vampire in El Hermandad, and yet still a veteran of the Sabbat Crusade for East LA. Chino doesn't talk much, and when he does, it's almost inevitably to direct someone to talk to Spade instead, he can often be found behind the bar of The Last Round where he seems to be fond of ignoring people who want service in favor of watching the TV.
Roach
At any point in time there are several kindred in the orbit of El Hermandad who wouldn't be strictly called members and for a while Roach was one of those. Recently she's stepped up and become a full time, card carrying member. She's the youngest of the set and the only non-hispanic but details are hard to come by in South Central.
