Summary: Overdrive 243 and Angela Miller return to the stage at The Flux Capacitor.

In reply to Artemis' mention of expecting her to be 'run off her feet', Tabi waves a hand in the air as if to dismiss the idea. "I planned it all out ahead of time, best I could. Been some small snags, but we've already taken care of them... I'm hoping for the best, now", she concludes, once more all smiles in her excitement for the coming show.

That's when the house music simply stops... and the lights flash on and off a few times. Then, spotlights hanging from the ceiling light up, illuminating the stage, and 'neon lights' at the back end of it come on spelling out something at the back and over the heads of the people on stage:

                                OVERDRIVE 243

The show is about to begin!

Harper relaxes after Chop heads out and Ale seems to find his center again, a soft sigh and she folds her hands in her lap. Looking back to Shelly brings the smile around again and she nods. "Exactly. Different materials hang differently, different cuts and styles. Some for going out on the town, some for going into the board room."

Angela wanders out onto stage, slinging a guitar over herself on her way. The rest of the band follows suit, another guitarist, bassist, keyboards, and drums. The singer shades her eyes from the lights with one hand as she checks out the crowd, "It's great to be back on stage, it's been a minute, and I hope you fuckers brought a ton of energy because I've got 2 years of it pent up.

She fucks around with the guitar she has with her, playing a few notes. Usually she just sings, so this is new. "Well I'm not going to waste time with idle chitchat... so if you're anywhere near the front." she points to the gathering before her in the soon to be pitt "Make friends and hang on tight!"

There's the tapping of drum sticks and the nodding of heads, then the deep driving electro -industrial that is Overdrive 243 unleashes its fury upon The Flux with 'Brutalika DV8' a hard hitting track from their 'Skeletal Remains' album, the first few cords are struck, and the song builds quickly, the pitt instantly coming to life, then the song slips off the edge and things get crazy.

Angela's powerful voice is transformed into something horrifyingly beautiful as it drops into a roaring cry of devestating lyrics that wash over the crowd and bring the mosh pitt to another level.

Dooo Yooooou Feeeeeeel TTHHAAAAT!?

Life, Your System, YOUR FUCK-TWISTED MEANING! Your heart... is beeeeaten down The Life you live, CORRUPTED BY CHAOS! No time ... to reeeesuuurreeect The path you've chosen, SHAPED AND DISTORTED!!!

BRUUUUTALIKAAAA!!!!

The lights flash and the band continues its onslaught of the stage, a giant grin on Angela's face when she's not singing.

This is what she'd came here for, what she'd been excited for even before offering to lend Tabi a hand! Now the show was about to begin and Will's words along with Alejandro's and the arrival of Jamal and Rain are all taken in before the music comes and Zoey does what any 'sensible' fan would do: She moves for the front, cheering and indeed losing herself to the 'rush' of the music all too quick.

If people thought Zoey was manic most of the time (and she certainly was) this was her 'turned up to eleven'! Artemis nods in Will's direction. "Evening Will. Things going all right for yourself?" they raise a brow curiously at the man.

There's a faint snort at Alejandro's words. "Putting it mildly." they note, but shake their head dropping the matter for now.

They chuckle at Tabi. "Best practice." they note. "I've a habit of putting things onto the long finger just a touch too much." they shake their head, expression amused. "But that's neither here nor there." They nod to harper. "I'm quite fond of them, though I'll admit I have a terrible time with dresses." they grin faintly, one hand smoothing the Lapel of their suit.

Their attention returns to the stage as Angela takes the stage, an expression of interest there.

Rain looks back to Jamal, "Probably nothing to worry about, and you can't really be late when it comes to these sort of things. In fact being a little late is probably fashionable." "Before the show begins," Will says to Alejandro and Artemis -- after giving her a question a nod, then smile and a cheerful wave, "..I'd just like to offer my condolences in regard to Lydon. I haven't been super available, Century City has been keeping me busy," He tells them both with a smile, "..but his sacrifice hasn't been forgotten." He's quiet, but considering this is a jam-packed event, he can't be too quiet -- then again, he doesn't say anything that gives much anything away.

Alejandro listens to the music intently, not with the attention of a Toreador, more clinical and methodical an approach to appreciation. He internally disects the rhythmic signature and the progressions through the chords. He nods at Artemis' comment about dresses "I look terrible in a dress," is all he says, in a dead pan tone, just enough to make the joke mistakable for honesty. Of course! /Just/ as Rachel is heading for the exit. She slows down a little to glance over her shoulder without increasing the likelihood she runs into someone ... or at least without increasing it too much. Alas, like Orpheus, she can look back as long as she likes and still enjoy no satisfaction thereby, but, on the other hand, the down side isn't nearly as bad as it was for Orpheus. Still, she'll certainly be having some words with her brother vis-a-vis the timing of his phone calls, once she's made her way out.

Tyler folds his arms across his chest and looks up at the stage as the band begins to play, stepping back far enough to avoid the flailing limbs and bodies that careen in and out of the mosh pit. His expression is curious, intrigued, but it certainly isn't the kind of fervent fanaticism that many of Angela and company's fans seem to evoke in the rest of the crowd; and after a few minutes, he looks around the crowd again, watching the way the concertgoers interact with each other and the music as much as he is watching the musicians themselves. Artemis regards Will for a second, and there is a complicated expression on their face. Eventually, they shake their head, and sigh. "Thank you, Will. The sentiment is appreciated." they smile at him softly, and shake their head. "His contributions will certainly be remembered. Though in time, hopefully the memory of him will not quite engender the same emotion it does currently."

They snort at Ale. "I don't know. Those legs, ale?" they hum thoughtfully. "I think you could pull it off." they shake their head amused. "I just never manage to figure out how to coordinate properly." they chuckle. They raise their hand in farewell to Rachel, and return their attention to the stage, with a cheer as things kick off properly. <English> As the band takes the stage, Shelly's head begins to bob along with the beat, though nowhere near as enthusiastic as Zoey. At the mention of Alejandro in a dress, she gives a snort. "You say that like it's not like Harper could make anybody look good in anything." Crawley arrives from Video Club - The Flux Capacitor. Crawley has arrived.

Tabi cheers along with the crowd as Overdrive-243 takes the stage. She's hopping up and down with her hands up in the air as the band starts its first song. Turning in place, as she bounces, she clearly is just enjoying the music that's being played... and, so as to not be bumping people, separates herself, just a little bit, from the group of which she's been a part to this point.

This isn't really Jamal type of music but he is here in support of Tabi and others. He spots way too many faces that he knows he goes over to Alejandro. "Not sure what is going on but sounds like I should have been here few minutes earlier. Glad things are okay now."

Giancarlo remains quietly seated at the bar, hands moving in his lap to the beat of the music along with his feet tapping on the stool that he sits on. Those hazel eyes of his remain fixated now on the stage as the band begins to play. He seems enthralled with it for whatever reason.

With the event kicking off and the various setup activities needed, Javier has been in and out most of the night. Stopping from time to time to talk with Tabi, Jamal, or Zoey, he makes sure they're good to go before he finds himself a place to post up near the bar. The tall Hispanic man is dressed in a brilliant white buttoned-up collared shirt with the sleeves rolled up to show off his inked arm with the top few buttons undone, black slacks, and a pair of comfortable leather shoes. Keeping an eye on the crowd he smiles at those he knows.

Nothing like arriving just as the set is about to begin. The leather clad blonde makes her way on into the Fluxx, hair tossled and blown in its usual fashion. The sound from the stage easily drowns out the clack of her boots upon the floor as she weaves her way through the crowd, those pale blue eyes of hers catching sight of some familiar faces. Quinn does pause to give the performers on stage their due justice with a slight curl of her lips, "Man, Zane would love this..." before finally reaching the grouping and poking Shelly in the shoulder.

Alejandro nods at Jamal, "Just a Southsider who quite literally didn't know his place. Might just make eme revisit my general 'live and let live' policy." He waves at Quinn when she arrives, "Quinn, this Jamal one of your lot. Jamal, this is Quinn. She's a Primo lady, one of the few who I'd unequivocally trust to have my back in a fight if it came to it."

Javier would be met by Zoey, a smile and some talking between gaps, but much like Tabi the Bluenette ball of energy was clearly quite the fan, cheering, screaming with the crowd, singing along and enjoying every moment of this. Eventually between songs she'd move, headed toward Tabi before making to lean in and speak something quietly in her ear almost certainly lost to most beneath the music Will nods to Artemis -- this isn't the time or the place to continue that conversation, and he said what he needed to say.

Attention flickers towards Jamal as he approaches Alejandro -- a hand is extended towards the muscular 'old G' type. "Hey Jamal!" A friendly smile pops over his face, and looks towards Quinn as Alejandro mentions her. "Hi there, Will Leos. Pleasure." His hand is also positioned toward her, in a friendly manner.

Harper looks up as Quinn approaches, grinning at the blonde as she gives Shelly a poke. She scoots on her seat to make room on it so Quinn can settle in between them if she wants.

Artemis nods as Quinn arrives, a offering greetings.... probably very loud ones, if they hope to be heard over the Music. "Evening Quinn, how you been?"

They look over to Ale, expression sardonic, and shruging in a what can you do' manner. <English>

Tabi lessens her 'bounciness' when Zoey gets her attention and speaks right into her ear. In response, Tabi smiles brightly and nods her head. "You're on the list!", she says... before turning her back to Zoey and leaning back against the woman as she resume her bouncing/dancing with the music being played.

Rain doesn't really do much dancing, but she sways about as she makes her way through the club. She keeps hold of her cane and nudges people out of the way if they get too closer to her in the crowded club.

A glance down at his watch and Giancarlo hmms slightly, "Must make that call...." The older Italian gentleman grumbles, sliding off his stool now and the proceeding to make his way towards the exit. Jamal would give Javier a bright smile, letting him know it had been a bit of time and they should catch up soon but he should talk to Alejandro first. When Alejandro greets Jamal he gives the man a firm handshake. Then says to him. "Hopefully one day you will say the same thing about me when you see Action Jackson do his thing." He looks over to Quinn. "It is great to meet you. You can ask Shelly and Alejandro can confirm I started off a bit rough when I first came here, I have tried to adjust. I have heard nothing but good things about you and have been looking forward to meeting with you." Shelly returns Quinn's shoulder poke with a friendly elbow-nudge. "Was beginning to think you weren't gonna show up! And you'll just have to enjoy it double for him. Maybe show us all how to really bust a move..." Though said moves shelly breaks out are stereotypical disco hands.

Who would notice Crawley slip in? Likely very few people. He's looking like a rather regular lost lookie-loo, out and about on the town at night to get drunk, high, and laid. However, this guy is a few steps /below/ your average LA regular at these hotspots. Definitely not a supermodel or even close. He's too short, too pimply, and the best he can do is cover that mop of dirty blonde hair with one of those khaki sunhats granpop wears to a fishing trip at the local lake. His pant are baggy, hanging down around his butt and exposing a pair of possible tighty-whities underneath, but no one wants to look closer. His top is a t-shirt that says MORDOR FUN RUN - 'One does not simply walk'. Over the whole he has a plaid button-down shirt left open in the front so you can see his cool tee!! When he steps inside, the poor guy looks lost, alone, and, given how sad he looks, likely to remain that way for the entire evening. He bops his way toward the bar. Once he's there, he saddles up to it and looks to the bartender. "Lou," he holds his hand out as he gets the employee's attention, "gimme a Milk ..." he slaps the bar, "..chocolate." That is all said /dead/ seriously.

Sliding in beside Harper and Shelly, Quinn gives Harper a nudge as well before letting her attentions drift over Jamal. Her pale blue gaze sizes the other man up and down before offering a nod, "Ah, finally we meet. I've gotten your memos and messages. We should have a lengthier chat sometime soon."

The rest of Alejandro's words are not lost upon her, however, as she continues, "That sort of shit's bound to continue. It's called baiting, provoking, whatever the fuck kind of label you want to put on it. Whatever you do, don't fall for it. Suck it the fuck up... go punch a car, bowling, anything -- but all's it takes is one physical strike to light that fucking match and ignite a war. Fucking gangbangers..."

Pausing for a moment as she looks around again, Quinn continues, "...but this isn't the best place to talk about shit. It's a party and we should be partying and shit. Business talk later... and we do need to talk later." Looking back to Shelly, she nods, "...yeah, I decided to come out for a bit."

Ian has arrived. Giancarlo exits towards Rowland Heights. Giancarlo has left.

Hot damn the club is poppin' tonight. Despite the relatively cool air, Clover's dressed light for the night, knowing proximity to dancing bodies will provide all the heat he needs. The wily music has him bopping with each step as he makes his way to the bar for some game juice, those feminine curves and that wily red mane sure to draw attention. It's vodka cran for him today, a big tip for a big pour, then his big green eyes can as he stands on tiptoes, glossy red lips splitting in a sweet smile as he spots someone in particular and orbits over to them, though he doesn't butt in to any conversations they may be yet having.

Summer arrives in the club wearing the iconic yellow blazer/skirt combination from Clueless, including sheer white thigh-highs and patent leather flats ( https://www.mcnayart.org/images/uploads/Clueless_2.jpg ). It must surely be a special occasion as the tall Kindred is not in heels, leaving her a measly 5'10" with no additives. With the music blaring, she weaves her way through the crowd, a white fuzzy backpack caught in the crook of her finger and dangling over one shoulder.

The natural place to look for people is at the bar, which is where she moseys first. She moves with her usual slow, slinky stroll, her skirt swaying ever so fetchingly.

Whatever answer Zoey got, it seemed to be enough for her. The excited blueberry eventually drifts

her way through the music back towards the conversations, but for the moment? The young woman was too busy revelling and fangirling to really engage with the talk of baiting and potential warfare.

Go figure!

"Good news! I haven't forgotten how this is done!" Angela laughs, piping up on stage as 'Brutalika' comes to an end, she points to her monitor speaker, "Can I get a bit more of me here please, thanks." she takes a moment to get rid of the guitar and take the microphone, grinning down at the already sweaty mass of people in front of her as she puts one booted foot up on a speaker.

"Sorry, Andy dared me to open with that." There's a big smile from the musician, then some samples mix with drums and flow quickly into a strong bass line, the die hards cheer as Angela walks over towards the other side of the stage, head nodding to the beat, "Keep that energy up you motherfuckers!" as 'Digital Worlds Collide' comes to life, Angela's powerful vocals layered across dark electronic sounds and heavy bass.

A masterpiece in motion Perfect Emulation When Digital Worlds Collide!

And there's Ian, moving through the crowd in the club, wearing a slightly less stuffy suit than normal. This one is cut for moving around easily, its charcoal color dashing beneath the lights as he moves. He looks like any mid-thirties guy out for a night on the town in Los Angeles, except for the fact that, as usual, he looks like he isn't having that much fun. But let's be honest folks, that's also a pretty normal look on a mid-30's guy at a nightclub. He makes a slow circle of the club, stalking like a stately blond-haired shark. He'll eventually end up near Shelly, Quinn, Harper, and the others, stepping out of the sea of humanity to stop by one of them with a mild nod. He doesn't try to lift his voice above the music just yet, content to simply exist near people he recognizes.

Whatever answer Zoey got, it seemed to be enough for her. The excited blueberry eventually drifts

her attention through the music back towards the conversations, but for the moment? The young woman was too busy revelling and fangirling to really engage with the talk of baiting and potential warfare. After all, she was still dancing up against Tabi!

Figures she'd be distracted!

Alejandro nods at Quinn and continues his quasi academic mental disection of the music. "It was never going to cmoe to a fight, I prefer a more cerebral approach to things, got appearances to keep up." It shouldn't come as a complete surprise that his code switching skills are on point. "Plus, I'm not actually much use in a fist fight."

On the floor, amid the crowd facing the stage, Tyler's gotten way too warm and taken his jacket off already, tucking it under his arm. He's not really dancing - he's not the mosh pit kind of person, apparently, and this isn't bump-n-grind music, so he's settled for swaying back and forth in time with the beat, although his head occasionally swivels with great distraction at the fact that more people are still coming in. They're all going to be packed in here like sardines, eventually. Artemis nods faintly. "And wouldn't management love that?" they snort, shaking their head. "Whatever. You're right. I'm sure we can disect it later. Just ignore it for now and we can move on with our lives."

They nod to Summer. "Welcome back. Looking lovely." they chuckle. Their attention turns to Ale, and they shrug. "May not have intended it, but.... well. Southside." they subside, and that's all that neads to be said there. <English>

Harper looks up as Ian comes on over, giving him a smile and a nod in greeting rather than trying to shout over the music. It's the coat that pulls her attention away, and her hand lifts up to wave over heads towards Summer as she makes her way through the crowd.

"Summer!" Will exclaims as Summer approaches the group, "..Love the retro look." He smiles at her, before his attention turns towards Ian. "Hey Ian." A smile and a respectful nod is given to the man, and it should be very clear that he's too old to truly appreciate this music. Still, he's got a wide- smile appears happy enough to be here.

Tabi keeps up her bouncy dancing for a while, eventually moving away from Zoey as she dances about - - assuming Zoey doesn't keep with her, of course! She's not wandering too far from the 'clique' that's by the bar, though. Still, when she literally bumps into someone else who's grinding and dancing with the song, she doens't hesistate to just go with the flow and have fun as she moves against Tyler. Not a shy one, this girl... at least not while she's dancing, apparently!

Jamal nods to what Quinn said. "I agree and look forward to talking to you in a more appropriate setting sooner than later, till then it was great to finally meet you in person." He gives a nod to Harper and Shelly then goes back to mingling with the crowd. He goes over to Will. "I could be mistaken was that your hand that was extended to me?"

The energy's strong, strange, a little sinister in a sexy way, and as the music pushes that atmosphere Clover lets it kick in. The curvy boy's pretty good at keeping the drink level as his hands lift and he simply melts into the dancing movement. He can't fanthey for Angela from this spot in the room but he can revel in the sonic presence and let himself edge nearer the bold moshers. Not yet, gotta finish the drink.

The bartender looks at Crawley a little oddly and, likely receiving the oddest request of the night, he pulls out a glass and has to actually /look/ for the milk. Bartenders hate it when you order milkshake drinks because you have to go find that shit. He then pours some chocolate from a Hersey's bottle into the glass and it makes a fart sound. "That'll be $8," he pushes the unstirred drink toward the poindexter dude. Crawley grabs the drink with confidence and slaps a $10 roll of dimes down on the bar, "Keep the change, my good man." So confident. His eyes then settle on Summer as she approaches the bar, and he takes a hearty swill of the milk. Or at least it looks that way. Leaves a milk moustache and all. Slipping closer toward the red-head, he waits until she has even looked his way. It's /super/ awkward. Like this guy with a milk in hand and a grandpop fishing hat, waiting for her. One might thing he's going to actually hit on her.

Ian smiles and nods at Harper in return, the greeting friendly if muted. Then he glances aside at Will and offers a small nod, "Not really your scene, is it?" There's no judgement there - from his tone its probably not Ian's scene either. But he's here and he seems pleased enough to be. Summer's approach earns her a faint smile and another nod, "Summer, you look ravishing as always." His eyes scan out across the club after a moment, taking in the sweep of people as his hands find his pockets, eyes lifting up to watch the stage idly.

"Hey, you ever wanna learn... just say the word.." Quinn offers back to Alejandro with a slow grin, putting up her dukes in a mock fight. It's only then that she notices the other man has extended a hand in greeting to her. Pausing for a moment to try and recall the introduction, the little light visibly clicks behind her pale gaze, "Ahh, yes, Will... got it." She doesn't quite take his hand though, glancing down at it a bit suspiciously. Slowly she glances over towards Shelly and Harper, exchanging a silent look before glancing back towards Will, "Welcome to the shitshow that's LA. Aren't you a plucky ducky?"

Javier keeps his post by the bar with his hands clasped lightly behind his back. Spotting as Quinn, Crawley, and Summer enter, he gives them all waves, nodding to the pair at the bar as his hands clasped lightly behind his back once more. He nods to them in greeting, spotting Harper and Ian as he grins wider, spotting Will and making sure to give him a wave too. With everyone greeting, he looks to Tabi to make sure she doesn't need any assistance before he looks back to the stage.

"Whoa," says Tyler, as he's suddenly being danced /with/ - which, just seems rude to not turn and actually really dance with Tabi instead of dancing alongside her while she dances up on him like a Beyonce song. "Hi!" he says, leaning down so he can be heard, but that's about it, because the music is way too loud for conversation, so he just does his best not to throw his jacket at someone while letting himself get lost in the vibe.

Rain makes her way through the crowd as she sways to the music before coming to a stop near a wall. She leans back and looks around the room while looking cool.

Artemis nods as Ian joins the small group. "Evening." there's polite nod and a smile towards the man, even as they cast a brief glance to Will and chuckle amused. "Not everyones, but it tends to bring folks out."

There's a quiet snort to Quinnn's words. "IT's certainly a spectacle." they note, but shake their head. There's a faint expression of bemusement there, and they shrug. <English>

Summer lingers near the bar looking this way and that, attempting to locate one of the many individuals she expects to see this evening. Shockingly, she isn't able to make anyone out by the back of their head, so she leans forward, elbows on the counter, and looks back and forth. That's when she hears the young man order his chocolate milk, the order garnering a long, amused stare.

It should just end there. She's already turning away, having seen Harper's wave, and she lifts her hand up with an energetic return -- but then the nerdy dude stands up and approaches. She looks at him with a polite smile and a soft *blink*, wondering if maybe he means to move past. But he doesn't. So, she looks at his chocolate milk, then up to his face, back and forth, and then says, "Living dangerously tonight, it seems." She grins at him, casting a look at his attire and then his fishing hat. "You're not supposed to be from some campy horror flick, are you? The sort that chase campers and slash them to ribbons for premarital sex?"

Summer is still wearing a playful grin when she looks away, offering a smile to Artemis, followed by a blown kiss, and then looks over to Ian. "Hello Mister Stanford," she purrs, "I see you went all out tonight. Unlike my new friend...?" Her voice trails, looking back to the weirdo. That is, the milk drinker. Same difference.

"Stanford!" Shelly practically crows when she spots the man in the slightly-less-stuff-suit. "I thought you might have been pulling my leg about showing up, but here you are!" And with an eye for the strange or possible trainwrecks, she shamelessly leans around harper to gawk at how that strange man's greeting to Summer might go. Alejandro nods at Crawley "Mister Crawley," he says by way of greeting and nods at Quinn "I will eventually get around to it, I have just generally gotten by on my razor sharp wit." He nods his head to Ian and Summer and tips an imaginary hat towards them by way of greeting. William grins broadly at Quinn. "If there's anything I am, Quinn, it's certainly a plucky ducky." In truth, he probably has no effing idea what a plucky ducky is; but he'll run with it. It's the hill he chooses to die on, apparently.

Attention rolls towards Ian and nods to the man. "Is it that obvious?" The question is posed, already knowing the answer. "..I miss 90's stuff." He says, while looking at Summer. "Give me Counting Crows and maybe some R.E.M. You know -- harcore shit," Obviously, the music being played here is hardcore, and neither band he mentioned is hardcore. at. all.

Summer obviously rocks up on tip-toes to wave at Will as well, of course! Her player just missed it.

The milk drinker clears his throat and looks quite honestly at Summer. "My density has brought me to you .." Crawley is /desperately/ earnest in his delivery, almost passionate in his plea to the stunning redhead woman. There is a pause.

It's a sea of energy roiling around Clover, a thousand stories, futures, plans and promises swirling in the presence of a little gender-blender who came here to move and groove. If he's pregamed it's not clear, but he spares that drink no mercy, already half gone while he shifts the bopping of round hips with the new tempo of each song, getting closer to dance with each new track but for the time being just letting himself cohabit with the rhythms and scanning this eclectic crowd while near enough Tabi to catch her eye if she's got a spare moment.

Ian nods in friendly greeting to Artemis, then glances to Shelly with a faint smile. "Here I am." he agrees. Shelly draws his attention back down from the stage and allows it to roam back across the group to Summer, "What did you expect, jeans and a t-shirt?" Ian asks with a wry grin across at the redhead. "I can't even imagine what I'd look like in that." a small shake of his head given. Then he looks back to Will and stares blankly for a moment, "Yes." he says, "All of that." in distracted agreement. Ian may be judging Will's taste in music, that's the most likely reason for the blank stare and the distracted agreement. But, then, he may also just have no idea who those people are. It's hard to tell.

Ian looks back across the group after a moment and finally lifts his hand up to smooth his hair down. Those perfect locks got mussed in his transit around the club and the passage through the crowd. And that simply /will not do/. So he fixes it, his hand sliding back down to settle into his pocket once more.

Rain taps her cane against the floor as she chills and listens to the music. After a moment she takes out her cell phone, and reads a couple of texts before sending replies back, then puts her cell phone back into her jacket.

Zoey does follow Tabi, but not withut a stop-over as she moves towards the resting and 'cool

-posing' Rain, leaning in while still bouncing a little with excitement. There's a murmer, a whisper in her ear and a kiss on the cheek planted before she spins away, a little beckoning offering for the cane-wielding woman to follow...then poor Tyler and Tabi are joined again, leaving the man attacked on both sides! Artemis snorts at Will's return, amusement written large on their features. "The Pluckiest." they note, amused, and they snicker at his commentary. "Maybe some Vengaboys, will?" they raise their brow at him. <English>

"Anyone that knows the history of Overdrive, knows that it was born out of a love for old school industrial." Angela holds court for a moment, "And none were more important than Front 242!" she smiles, holding for the cheers to die down before continuing, "This is 'Tragedy For You'..." she grins and the heavy electronic intro of Tragedy begins to play, then Angela ads her voice to the song.

With that skill... that was hers alone She drove her clutches into me I was dumbfounded She was hungry She required me... entirely All that's left is here to remain

People are quick to sing along with Angela to this track as the song continuese, lights flashing across the stage.

"Oh, no, don't be hard on yourself," Summer informs the milk drinker, totally not getting the reference. WHOOSH. "I'm sure you're not dense at all." A long look at the milk glass, like maybe she's not sure. Nonetheless, she intuitively knows to answer in character, adding, "It's a party, right? The more the merrier. And...may I please remind you that it does NOT say 'RSVP' on the Statue of Liberty." The Cher/Clueless quote is rattled off seamlessly, paired with a cheeky lean and eyelash flutter. At least she didn't go with the quote that feels the most natural right now: You're just a virgin who can't drive. Annnnyway...

Summer's hands wind behind her back, affording a very coquettish appearance to suit the character she's dressed as. Looking over to Ian, she says, "I could have literally recommend a hundred and one things for you to dress up as. You're lucky. Maybe next time..."

Summer's voice trails, looking over to Weirdo #1. "Ian this is...?" her voice trails, looking at pseudo Crawley.

"Hi!", replies Tabi to her dance partner. She does look around, though, as if surprised that she's not dancing against Zoey anymore, but doens't seem to really care much, if at all. As she dances with the man, she spots Summer joining the group... and mixes some hand-waving in Summer's direction into her bouncing and grinding. She laughs as Zoey joins in, bracketing Tyler the way he suddenly is... and then she spots someone else, and reaches out to try and grab at Clover's arm, to drag another person into the mix, too!

Rain smiles and nods to Zoey, "Sure." She doesn't actually use her cane much at all and seems to have no trouble weaving her way through the crowd without using it, as she follows after Zoey.

Will grins at Artemis. "Hey now.. Hey now.." Apparently, he's not unfamiliar with the Vengaboys. He then tells them: "I'm also not unashamed to say I love, and I miss, both the Backstreet Boys and N- Sync." Yes. Yes, he did just admit to that publicly.

"I think Ian would look like an amazing David, from the Lost Boys." Will tells both Summer and Ian. He's not flirting with the blonde man, is he?

Giving a wave the tall man gets Tabi's attention then motions to the stairs to show he's going to go up. Checking with Jamal and Zoey to make sure they're still around and there to do their thing he nods and slips out.

Javier exits towards Video Club - The Flux Capacitor. Javier has left.

Clover makes a happy squeak when Tabi tugs him over for inclusion in that circle of conversation. "Ey," he says as he gets noticed by individual folks, or a nod of the head, or if someone seems outgoing a handshake. Clo's handshake is solid, a single firm pump with eye contact, then a clean release, maybe a bit gentlemanly for someone so femme-leaning, especially with that girly voice that sports a touch of Texas twang and a little scratchiness. Aside from that he mostly stays quiet to gather what's being discussed, saving up his energy to prove himself a fool rather than be mistaken for one. "You might need to put yourself into these two ladies capable hands before you ever go and take Zebastian up on his offer for a night on the town in WeHo," Shelly grins towards Ian and points to the fabulously-as-always dressed Harper and Summer. "Not sure if a suit would cut it out there."

Artemis there's the telltale buzz in their pocket and there's a small growl. They click their tongue at the message there, and their eyes hood. "Well, well." they note, expression amused. They look up, raising the phone slightly. "I'm gonna bail here, folks. I'm sure I'll be seeing you all again in the near future." they nod to their little group. They toss a grin to will. "Nothing wrong with the backgstreet boys. 'Everybody' is a classic and I will fight anyone who says differently." they stick their tongue out. "But I am judging you for NSync." they grin.

A brief wave is thrown over their shoulder as they disappear towards the entrance. <English> Harper tilts her head lightly and looks from Shelly to Ian, sizing him up with a slightly narrowed eye. It's hard to tell if she's teasing with what she says next. "What do you think? A little vinyl, some mesh? Maybe a net shirt." Her lips purse lightly, thoughtfully, with only a little hint of a smile.

"Yes!" Summer agrees with Will, laughing and scrunching her nose. "That is such a good call. Or maybe throw him in a letterman jacket and let him be Zach from Fresh Prince. Oh! Or Giles from Buffy..." She leans toward Will, cupping a hand to her mouth to say in a playful aside that can be heard by everyone, "I don't think he has the right energy for an Angelus." A beat. "But maybe a Spike! Oooo!"

Summer turns with a twirl of her skirt, suddenly looking at Ian as if he were a mannequin just waiting to be dressed up. Her hands clasp up under her chin, eyes glittering with the //possibilities//. Harper's suggestions inspire another laugh and a nod, murmuring, "Yes, all the better to show off his nipple piercings." Sill giggling, she looks over at Will to say, "You look very nice tonight as well, Will."

Milk Man is then eyeballed to see if he's still hanging around.

Well, this is now /fully/ awkward. Crawley's line falls flat on Summer, and then she retorts Clueless back at him ... then she introduces Ian. But, he started this mess and the poor guy does not look like he is about to give up easy. Continuing to look at Summer, he says, "I'm George .. George McFly. I'm your density .. I mean, your destiny." Then he just /stands/ there, waiting on her. There is an expectant look on his face. Like maybe she will melt at his words. What makes all of this even more weird is that Harper said something to the milkdrinker in passing and that got lost in the shuffle of him trying to do his best Back to the Future pick-up line. The club is loud, maybe he missed it?

You paged Clover with 'Haha glad you like it. Ain't for everyone. :P'.

"I still haven't seen that." Ian replies to Will with a faint smile. "I keep having movie nights, but that one hasn't made its way into them just yet." Ian could easily be flirting with Will as well. It's, frankly, difficult to tell with how dry his tone is. Shelly pipes up as well and Ian looks briefly wounded, then looks to Harper and down at himself with a faint frown. "Mesh?" he asks, like its would be an absolute sin to dress in mesh. He gives Summer a scandalized look and looks back down at himself again, lips pursing. "I do /not/ have nipple piercings." he says a bit too stiffly. Someone's wound a bit tight, huh? "Suits are fine anywhere worth going." he declares with a small huff. Though, the perceptive will notice that he's more playing into the bit than actually upset.

Alejandro shoots Artemis a farewell wave "I'll see you back at the house Artemis," he says while watching the milk drinker flirt with Summer, barely suppressing a grin. He's not so old that he doesn't remember Back to the Future, after all.

Artemis has left.

Tyler is sandwiched between at least two people now. Maybe three! "Hi!" he says to Clover, still trying to wrangle his jacket, with the air of someone who is regretting wearing a jacket. He lifts one of his hands and flaps it in front of his face; the question is if he's fanning himself because he's overheating or because he's overwhelmed that so many people are now dancing with him (more than one). "This is so - it's so crowded in here!" he shouts, to whoever is listening.

The leather-clad blonde better known as Quinn just blinks at Will, "I.. I don't even fucking know how to respond to your taste in music. It's... it's...." the words clearly escape the woman. Her gaze wanders over towards Ian, clearly needing the distraction, "Oh, let me dress you for a night. I'll have you in jeans, leather... you'll be practical and efficient. Blend right the fuck in."

Glancing back over towards Will, she just shakes her head, "Damnit, everytime I look at you Will, I'm going to picture a fucking sweater vest. Why did you have to mention boy bands? Next thing I know, you're gonna tell me you thought Debbie Gibson and Tiffany were hot."

"This is Edge of Ruin." Angela says simply as the band continues playing one song straight into the other, the dark electro hit from Overdrives self titled Album, pushing onward with the show as the front-woman sings her heart out.

You were my everything My Darkest Heart My Edge of Ruin

I had no time to heal Your Fractured Forms Your Lesser Evils

You lost your way with Me My snuffed out light My broken promise

We brought an end to this Our Brittle Souls Our Edge of Ruin

The song isn't as full of crazy energy as most of Overdrives music, and is more a dark electronic ballad and people love it, the lights of the club very much on purpose moving to a mix of purple and pink hues.

"Clo! Less talking! More dancing!", Tabi says to her friend as she continues to dancing in a way that keeps Tyler between herself and Zoey, though, if Clover joins in, she turns to grind back against him, too, for a little bit. This isn't the only little 'knot' of dancers near the bar -- the whole place is basically one big dancefloor, at the moment, really.

Overhearing Tyler's comment about it being crowded. "Hell yeah! It's awesome!", she cries out in response to his words. She then adds, "I'm Tabi! That's Zoey! ... and this is Clover! Who're you?", figuring she may as well try and get the name of the guy she's been grinding and dancing with.

You paged Clover with 'Haha nice'. "And can't forget the glitter," Shelly pats are her own cheekbones as where she thinks Ian should be wearing glitter for WeHo nights. But then Quinn is adding her own fashion commentary and she nods. "That's also an option... though doesn't exclude also having glitter with the leather. Or mesh with the leather either."

With Rain baited in, Zoey does giggle a little at Tyler's comment before winking over her shoulder,

but was that to him or Tabi? Hard to know. Either way she spins around, pressing her reach against Rain now as keeps up the wild, excitable passionate dancing matched to the intensity of the music. Jamal makes the round telling the people he knows he is going to the VIP section so that he is still about in case he is needed.

Ian looks aghast at Quinn's suggestion, mouth falling open. "/Jeans/?" he asks, potentially actually affronted for a moment. But he catches himself, taking a deep breath to center himself. "Please. Leather is fine, corrected leather of course, from a number one grade hide, double bend cut /only/." said with a sudden dark frown. "But only shoes, suspenders, and briefcases. Or as accouterments on the right sort of jacket. I'm not a cowboy."

His eyes move to Shelly and he adds, "No glitter." he says. "No mesh. No /jeans/." Ground rules established, Ian glances between all of his tormentors - Harper, Shelly, Summer, and Quinn.

Jamal exits towards Video Club - The Flux Capacitor. Jamal has left.

"I wear sweater vests when the weather is a bit cooler," Will admits to Quinn -- he's smiling from ear to ear again. Blushed with life, he appears human; even moreso than most humans, which is a trick unto itself. So happy the smile reaches his eyes, he makes eye contact with the blonde in leather for a moment or two longer than necessary. "And come on. Tell me if we were in an uber, and 'I want it that way' came on, that you wouldn't sing along. I don't believe it." Again, all smiles from the gent; obviously, he's just playing with her.

The grin widens at Summer, and a visible look of confusion is on his face as he looks at Ian's ... chest. "Nipple rings. Very interesting."

"Prove it," Summer says to Ian when he /purportedly/ doesn't have nipple rings. She looks from his face to his dress shirt, back and forth, one eyebrow arching in playful challenge. Quinn makes her offer as well -- denim and leather, oh my! -- and Summer gives her shoulders a little shimmy before fanning herself.

Oh. And then there's still Milk Drinker. He's...still there.

Summer looks over as he offers his next line, identifying himself as George McFly. /That/ is enough to make her realize the movie. "Oh!" she says, immediately laughing. Then, it's back into character, saying, "Sorry. Cher is saving herself for Luke Perry." She places a hand to her chest, clearly indicating that she, in fact, is Cher.

Given how lightly Clover's dressed, he can likely spare the body heat to don the jacket at least for a time. It's big on him, his frame small and lean but a decent hint of definition indicating he's quite fit. So he wears the jacket more like a cloak, two thirds of the way through his drink as he cheers out a playful, "Awooooo!" in confirmation that he accepts the pact of dancing. He laughs, affectionate with those who choose to make contact while dancing, nothing vulgar but plenty of playful closeness, squeezes or touches and while Clover's dancing isn't any modern style, it's amusingly precise if a little strange. Eye contact, outstretched arms and warm energy radiate from Clover as his inclusive dancing welcomes anyone who ain't being creepy.

Tyler laughs. "I'm Tyler," he says, sticking his thumb into his own chest indicatively, and then running a hand through his disheveled hair to get some - most - of it neatly tucked behind his ears again from where it's fallen forward. "I've never been here before. Is it always this busy? I'm kind of new in town." He pulls at the neck of his t-shirt, fanning himself again, and moves his jacket from one arm to the other arm. It's getting very wrinkled.

"First of all, if I'm in an Uber? We got a serious issue..." Quinn begins steadily, her body leaning forward to engage Will more thoroughly, "... but sure, for shits and giggles, yeah -- say I'm in an Uber and the song comes on? I might actually rip out the fucking stereo system." She pauses before adding, "Which is actually progress considering a few years ago I would have ripped out the system and beat the driver with it, so.... yay, anger management!" She flashes a beaming smile.

Rain moves and sways to the music, though she doesn't get as crazy dancing as some of the others. "Sure is a lot of people here today, I guess all the advertising worked."

Alejandro actually smiles at Quinn's "anger management" comment. "Babysteps Quinn, babysteps." "But the real question is.... Would you say Bye, Bye, Bye as you ripped out the stereo?" Shelly asks to Quinn in all apparent earnestness, switching from tormenting Ian to apparently trying to torment the platinum blonde.

Tabi's little 'knot' of dancers moves about a little, while staying near the clique of people... and then, at one point, Tabi's facing Summer. With a laugh that's almost a cackle, she reaches out to try and take Summer's hand. "Come dance, Sum-sum!", she calls out, trying to wrangle the leggy redhead into the mix. Seeing Ian there, too, she calls out, "C'mon! You too!", as she reaches out his way -- even though she's out of arm's reach of him. She's not leaving her little dance group... she's *clearly* having way too much fun.

The music settles as the song comes to a close and Angela picks up a guitar again, fiddling with it momentarily, "This is 243." She says with a wicked grin as she moves her hands and the heavy chords of the track come to life, though the song is certainly electro-industrial in nature it's the closest to a metal sound that comes out of the band tonight, and the lyrics match with the roar of the singers voice cascading across heavy guitar riffs, crashing drums, well timed samples, and electronic beats.

Through futures light The final words... of unknown saints Your ritual begins Too much time to bring yourself DOOOOWN.

The guitars and Angelas voice leading the mosh pitt into another frenzy as she moves her hands across her guitar, belting out the lyrics, a touch of violence to her voice.

About half way through the song Angela ditches the guitar, takes a few steps back and launches herself into the people before her, crowd surfing.

+ROLL/+DICE> Summer: Performance + Appearance vs. 6 -> 4 successes. (10 10 9 9 5 4 2)

Sadly, there's no Biff to shout out his name and break-up the shoot-down that Summer gives him. Total burnout. He kind of stares at her for a moment, and all the 'cool kids' that are nearby -- Will, Ian, Quinn, Harper. More awkward. Deeply, awkward. A long moment of silence as he contemplates what to say next to her. "Nah," he waves his hand, "it's okay, really. I'll .. uh," he gestures to the side, "..just be over here if you change your mind, Cher." He thinks her name is Cher. Crawley's poindexter kind of meanders back away, still holding his glass of milk. He looks lost, maybe a bit dejected. He's no Luke Perry -- who is dead now btw. Then his eyes settle on Harper and he kind of stealthily snakes toward her. It's like one minute he's in one place, the next, near her. Fucking creepy. "Did I hear you say something about premarital sex, m'lady?" he asks her curiously.

Harper just grins at Ian, but knowing her she's already taken his measurements in her mind and something just might show up on his doorstep in the next few days. A soft laugh and she leans over to press a quick kiss to Quinn's cheek and then she's standing. "If you all will excuse me, I have some work to still attend to tonight. This has been utterly divine."

"Ha ha ha!" Will grins wide and laughs at Shelly's question -- genuine amusement over his face as he nods to Alejandro's assessment, then returns to Quinn. "So we'll be using your Uber account. I can't have a less than five star rating, my ego is way too frail to accept anything but." He continues to smile at her. "So I'm assuming this is more your speed?" His head tips up towards Angela on stage.

+ROLL/+DICE> Ian: Dexterity + Performance vs. 6 -> 3 successes. (9 8 7 3)

"Zoey," the blue-haired girl adds to the introductions of Tyler and Tabi, grinning a little more

with her glossed lips before leaning back enough to press her back into Rain's chest and guide her hands to Zoey's own hips. If Rain wasn't quite going to keep up, the young woman was going to try and pull her along to the pace. "It's O-243," she offers, as if that was all the explaination that was needed. "How could it not?"

"What?!" Clover actually recognizes this tune for some reason, perhaps a relic from an obscure movie, but either way his drink's drained and he's moving for the more energetic dancers in that tight little cluster. Bumping, grinding, sure, but also light shoves, shoulder bumps, teasing out who might be up for talking into movement into the moshier parts of the dance floor. Clover's not afraid of a few jostles or shoves, giving or taking, but he's also not careless or inconsiderate, and when near gentler dancers he matches their pace. Overall it seems the lively ginger is happy for the company and a night away from his normal life. Harper stands up and stops, giving the 'Poindexter' a look. It's a long look, narrowed eyes and all. There's a sound under her breath, and she reaches out to tug the hat down over the front of his face, "It's off to the nunnery for me." Her other hand lifts up and wiggles fingers at her friends and she's escaping through the crowd, apparently to find God.

For the record, as amazingly talented as Angela and her band is, this is /not/ Summer's kind of music. She can enjoy the skill and beauty of the performer, of course, and recognize the talent, but when it comes to knowing how to /dance/ to the set, she has no freaking clue. Nonetheless, she tries to be a good sport, and when Tabi suddenly clasps her hands she allows herself to be sheepishly dragged away from the bar and into a dance walk.

Summmer opts to just sort of...twirl and step, her pleated skirt rising and falling, her fuzzy white backpack bouncing against her back. She throws her head left and right, making her red hair dramatically flounce, and somehow, all at once, she looks remarkably comfortable. She laughs as she moves, the happy sound joining the loud guitar as Angela leads them from the stage.

Angela makes her way around a little bit crowd surfing until she returns to the stage to pick up her mic and continue with the other half of the song, belting out the lyrics aggressively.

Silva has arrived.

Ian gives Will a /look/ at the nipple piercing comment, though from a man half Will's age it may not be all that withering. Harper's look seems to drive him a little bit toward the knot, unintentionally allowing him to be snagged by Tabi. He enters the circle with a confused expression and a sudden desperate glance back at Will, Harper, Shelly, and the others as he's pulled into a knot of dancers. Forlorn, he joins the circle and tries his best.

Which is actually pretty good. Ian catches onto the steps of the dancers quickly, falling into a rhythm. It's better than being taunted for his Alternative Fashion Choices (suits and only suits). In the mix of kinetic movement and dancing bodies, Ian finds himself matching the rhythm and the beat, swaying with the music. Honestly, he looks like he belongs, except for the suit, and the look of slightly too intense concentration on not falling over or knocking someone down.

Shooting Shelly a pointed look, Quinn clutches her chest in mock pain, "Et tu, Brute..." regarding the 'Bye Bye Bye' comment. Turning slightly to regard Harper as the other woman rises, the blonde nods, "Be careful out there, the assclowns are at an all-time high lately."

She doesn't waste too much time dwelling, however, knowing the other woman more than capable of handling herself before again letting her attentions gravitate back towards Will. Her head cranes a bit to the side to actually pay attention to the music, before twisting her lips with a bit of amusement, "I like it it, sure, actually more Zane's preference than mine. As for your Uber account? Play boy bands around me and watch that 5-star rating magically transform into a negative 5."

Well, that's numero dos hottie boombalottie that has slipped through his greasy, geeky fingers. The milkdrinker wanders back over toward the bar and sort of plops down like a sad little raindrop, his choccy milk still grasped in hand. "Vade cum deo," Crawley's geeky guy says to her behind as Harper goes to join the nunnery. The milk is set on the bar as he lets out a deep sigh. Frodo is definitely not getting to Mount Doom tonight, but he's rallying for more fun.

Ian, Summer, and Tabi are in a dancing circle. Crawley is actually a pointdextery dude in a LOTR shirt and fishing hat at the bar, who just got rejected hard by Harper - who is currently leaving. Shelly, Will, and Quinn are hanging out nearish the bar chatting. And I believe everyone else is variously dancing except Angela, who is singing.

Where's Clo? Tangled in with Tabi, Ian, Summer and a a periphery of other dance cluster members. He's energized, in the mood of this music even if it ain't that metal or dad shit he normally rocks to. His clothes are light but he also sports a suit jacket worn like a cloak from some poor sap who abandoned it. When Angela comes out into the crowd Clover's cheering extra loud, though not close enough to be part of the moment, so instead he orders a fresh drink, then checks his phone very briefly before it's back to lighthearted dancing with Tabi and her victims.

Will nods towards Quinn. "I'll keep my boy band karoke to when you aren't around. Who's Zane?" It would make sense that he has no idea who that man is -- he's just met her tonight, so. He smiles at her, all kindly-like.

+ROLL/+DICE> Silva: Perception + Alertness vs. 8 -> 1 success. (8 7 7 5 3)

The music settles and the keyboards take over, high energy and danceable as Angela moves and bounces around on stage waiting for her chance to ad her voice to the tack, the song races ahead, and some people may not be sure if they took enough drugs to really get the ridiculous pace of this song.

No way back The clock is ticking Racing towards oblivion

That dopamine rush Working towards the next thing Racing towards oblivion

The high energy continues, with people dancing into a sweaty mess at the Flux Capacitor.

Tabi woo-hoo's loudly as both Summer and Ian join in... and as she sees they're making it look GOOD, too! She backs her way into Tyler again, arms up in the air as she dances with her back to and against him. She's working up a nice little sweat, too, with all her dancing.

Her little 'knot' of dancers is over by the bar, where the overall conversational clique formed in the first place. This isn't the only such knot of dancers, with the crowd as thick as it is... there's far more people wanting to dance to the band's music than there's room on the actual dance floor, after all!

If Ian was expecting any help from Shelly's way, all he gets from the neon-green wearing woman is a mischevious grin and a wiggle of fingers. She also snickers for Quinn. "Aww, but I was pretty sure that You Want It That WayyyyAngela (talk)" there may be some liberties taken with the song title, but she'll sing it anyways as she gives harper a wave goodbye. +ROLL/+DICE> Shelly: Charisma + Performance vs. 6 -> 1 success. (10 4 4 3) +ROLL/+DICE> Silva: Dexterity + Performance vs. 6 -> 1 success. (9 4 3)

Rain leans against Zoey as she holds her hips, though it still isn't a crazy dance but she moves about with a bit more energy. "You sure seem to be into this kind of music." So where is Silva in all this? Slamming bodily into Clover, that's where! That lithe thing doesn't weigh much though, so chances are it's not sending Clo off balance by much. His mane is out and free, thrown all over by the wild thrashing of his head in time with the thrumming beat.

Clover's hands are on Tabi's shoulders, hugged up to her from behind and snickering as he sees the energy of the dance cause some to tense, others to go wild. Then suddenly someone thunks into Clover's side like they were thrown out of the wilder mosh pit near the front of the stage, but Clo's got the jobs he does for a reason and straight tanks Silva, face on. "The hell?" he asks with momentary confusion before reaching out to tangle up Silva into a lifting-off-the-feet hug. "Unicorn!"

As Summer dances with the other maniacs, her attention is caught by a rather inebriated fellow whose movements are slow and dreamy, his pupils tellingly dilated beneath the heavy hood of his eyelids. She watches as he moves -- hands upraised toward the strobing lights, his mouth curled into a fuzzy grin. And that's when she takes a few steps to the side, approaching him with nimble interest. It's cleverly done, a brief spin putting her into his field of vision. Once he sees her, he stares and she stares back, a vision in her Clueless attire.

"Hey," he says to her, prompting her to shout back an echoed, "Hey!" He grins. She grins. It's like she's mirroring him. When he moves to dance a little closer, she steps in as well, both of her arms circling his neck. They proceed to engage in 'quiet' conversation, taking turns leaning in and away.

A little grin and a nod to Rain, the woman smirks! "Mmhmmm! It really gets the heart pumping!" she

offers with a wink at the other woman and stretches her arms upwards with a little giggle and another round of singing along.

Yeah, seems she knew the music!

Ian eventually works his way out of the knot, allowing it to deflate just enough for him to slip loose. His dancing ends as he steps back over to the group, looking a little more ruffled as he approaches the group once more. He comes to stand quietly near the bar. He settles in just to linger, eyes scanning around the club for a little while. Content and relaxed.

"My better and much nicer half, or so I have been told..." Quinn answers Will's question easily enough, but not without giving Shelly a playful shove in return as she begins to sing. Shaking her head, her pale gaze slides back towards Will, "...he got called away. Not sure really when he'll be back. Hopefully? Soon, but realistically... he'll be back when he's done with the shit he's handling."

One moment Tyler's dancing normally, the second his jacket has gone somewhere and he's receiving the aftershocks of Silva's collision with Clover, and a /whoof/ of sound comes out of him as he stumbles and barely manages to catch himself, looking behind into the crowd to see what the cause of such force was. His eyebrows raise, drawing his expression out of the range of 'concerned/confused/serious' and into 'surprised,' maybe surprised at how such a slip of a thing like Silva could nearly bowl so many people over at once. Clearly 'enthusiasm' is probably the answer.

Tabi finally is just bouncing up and down a bit, though her arms are still up in the air when Tyler's knocked off-balance some by the more boistrous sort of dancing Silva's started up. She laughs a bit, but does her best to catch at Tyler's arm to keep him from getting completely discombobulated. "I need a drink! You want a beer?", she says, leaning in so that her mouth gets close to the man's ear as she tries to steady him. It seems Tabi's about to nestle up closer to the bar and out of the dance-knot she instigated.

Dark Electronic beats bring the racing music down to something less insane as 'Dystopian Underground' takes over with haunting samples and Angela's melodic voice settling down the racing hearts of anyone caught up in the last song, the singer dances a bit on stage, the guitar she's used for a couple of songs off to the side. She takes turns moving from one side of the stage to the other, singing down towards the crowd, making a point to find someone to lock eyes with in those moments.

Everyone's on the dancefloor, so the milkman seems to have finally met his match. Crawley slips off the bar stool and skulks off toward one of the tables along the wall. He finds an empty place and sits down, pulling out his cell. Now in a comfy, dark place, his pimply face illuminated by the digital screen, he surfs to the beat. Maybe he's on Tinder. You /never/ know with this guy.

The platinum-blonde in skin tight, synthwave purples and golds fully leg- and arm-wraps his redheaded wild thing when they gather him up. His smile glitters in the moody lighting, pink and gold lipstick and matching eyeliner giving him an almost synth-fey look as he locks eyes with Clover. "Hey! Make out with anyone yet?" He yell-asks over the music. His voice is sharp, projected easily over the noise, and yet the way his smile colors his tone suggests it's just for Clo. Will's smile grows as Shelly keeps it going -- though he dares not sing anything. He wouldn't want to give Quinn a cassus belli to swing at him. "Ah, I see. Lucky guy." A prim and proper smile flashes at her.

Steel-blue eyes look up towards Angela as she looks down at the crowd.

And finally Shelly lets it res, though not before giving a quick look about the room as if she's counting something. "You know... I think I should probably run on home. Make sure nobody left the oven on or anything like that. Later, gators." Tyler leans down again so he can hear what Tabi's saying to him, and then shakes his head. "I don't drink," he says. "But I could go for a glass of water, if that's not too boring." He looks over at the bar, packed with people as it is, apprehensively, and says, "And if the bartender will serve it to me. I guess that's what you wave cash at them for, right?" He tilts a crooked smile at her after that, and reaches up to brush his hair out of his face again.

The dancing between Summer and the stranger is becoming a little more intimate, the polite bob and sway replaced by a sensual press as her arms draw him in. He's grinning like an idiot, glassy eyes fixed on hers as one arm wraps around her waist and the other...well...seems to be petting her fuzzy backpack. Yes, he's definitely on /something/ if one were to judge the almost unconscious fascination he has with the soft, fluffy texture.

Summer leans in, brushing her nose to his, not quite kissing. She angles her head the other way, giving him another playful *bump*. Then, the redhead leans to the side, murmuring something in his ear. The young man grins all the wider and nods, taking her hand and then leading her toward the VIP lounge upstairs.

With Tabi and Ian escaping, Clover's left to focus his attention on Silva primarily, though Tyler's given a curious glance to make sure that the absolute force of nature who is Silva Cassidy didn't send him reeling. That settled, it's hands on sides, big green eyes gazing up at Silva adoringly, head shaking despite his smile. "Nah, I saved all my nacho breath for you," Clo teases, though it's a fiery inflection of cranberry on the redhead's breath and in the glass he offers his husband. "How was work, Unicorn?" Shelly has left.

Ian has lapsed into boring silence, leaned against the bar, watching the dancefloor with a quiet lingering stare. It's like the rest of the world doesn't exist. What could he be thinking about? It's unclear. He straightens a little bit after a second and adjusts his coat, straightening it out as he rises to his full height, that far away stare remaining distance, focused on some indeterminate point in the club.

Rain dances around and gets into the music. Though eventually she pauses as her phone goes off. She slips back and answers it, then smiles to Zoey. "Looks like I need to head off for a bit, but I will catch you later." She lifts a hand and tips her have to everyone. "Have a good evening."

That Tyler doesn't want alcohol doesn't seem to faze Tabi in the slightest. Pulling him with herself to the bar, she leans forward over it (basically sticking her butt in the air to do so), she gets a bartender's attention and orders a beer for herself and a glass of ice water for him -- before she drops back to where her feet are on the floor to turn her back to the bar, leaning on it. Reaching out to tap Ian lightly on the shoulder, she says to him, "You dance good! You should hang with us more often!"

+LOSE/+BURN> Angela burns 1 Willpower. +ROLL/+DICE> Angela: Performance + Charisma vs. 6 -> 3 successes. (10 9 9 6 5 4 4 3 1)

A wonderful heartfelt melody comes off the keyboards, beautiful, and haunting, Angela lending her voice softly to it. The track can bring certain people to tears, and Angela herself wells up on stage, her voice staying strong, clear, powerful. 'Faded' to anyone listening closely is about a friend lost through suicide, it's electronic, flowing over the crowd in ways that cut through the usual heavy industrial of the band.

Ouuur Time... Memories turn to Faded Dreams... But Ouuuur time... Will never be again

The haunting song continues on as the lights stay fairly dim, shimmering across the stage.

Rather than take the glass, Silva allows Clo to tip some of his drink right into the Unicorn's mouth. A thin trickle of the stuff manages to bust out, tracing a gleaming line down his chin and his flush, slender throat, but he allows this truancy for the moment. Judging by the impatience and the roll of his eyes, he has more important things to attend to. "Ugh, I have to do /everything/ for you," he complains through that ever-present smirk of his. Clo's question can wait until after he's mashed his lips to the other boi's, cranberry-flavored fervor in the kiss he plants, and the tongue he claims the redhead's mouth with. By the time he pulls away, thin webs of spittle connect the two, dabbed away daintily with a fingertip as he carefully dismounts his lover. "I think I finally have a good fit for the new jacket," he finally replies. Then steals another quick kiss.

+ROLL/+DICE> Clover: Intelligence + Empathy vs. 6 -> 2 successes. (8 6 4 3)

Laughing openly at that, Quinn shakes her head with amusement, "We have vastly different views on the term -lucky-, Will. I can guarantee he'd be laughing as hard as I am about now." Still she rises to her feet as well, "Much as I'd like to continue this talk, I should be heading on out. It's getting later and I've got a few more stops to make before dawn." Letting her gaze narrow slightly, giving Will the once over again, she adds, "We will talk again soon."

Will just cants his head as the last part of Quinn's statement is more .. threatening .. than he'd like. "Okay?" Returning to its normal position, he grins at her all happy-like. "Good night!"

Summer and her new friend are seen wandering up the stairs hand in hand, the redhead laughing at /something/ he says. By the time they make it to the top, the two of them are once more wrapped up together -- her arms around his neck, his arms around her waist. They crest the staircase to the second floor and she allows herself to be led backwards, propelled by his pursuing steps. Just like that, they disappear from sight completely seeking refuge in the private lounge.

+ROLL/+DICE> Crawley: Manipulation + Animal Ken vs. 7 -> -1 success (Botch!). (6 5 5 4 3 2 1)

As Tabi leans over, Tyler definitely averts his gaze in a gentlemanly fashion, and accepts the glass of water with a grin and a nod of thanks, turning away to look over the crowd again, his eyes bright honey-gold in the momentary flash of light that catches him from the stage. "I've never seen a crowd this big in a place this size," he admits to Tabi. "Only ever in like - stadium venues. Maybe I'm exaggerating. But it's seriously packed. What a performance!"

Tabi takes a swig from her bottle of beer and nods at what Tyler says. "We're damn near at capacity, if not already there!", she replies, leaning closer to him to make sure she's heard. "I'm totally stoked that O-243 was the first band to use my stage!", she adds, happily.

As the last song finishes Angela takes a beat to get her composure then says "I hate encores..." there's a laugh "So with that said we've got one more song for you." she holds up a finger, "We've never played this live before, hopefully it doesn't go to shit." she looks over at her bandmates with a grin. "This is Edgerunner." Drum sticks collide and once again electronic beats are met with Angela's powerful voice, there is definately a different sound to this track, a bit less distortion while staying high energy, with the singers vocals leading the charge, the lights flashing across the stage as the band moves the song forward, their energy never wavering.

The guy at the table seems fixated on his phone for a bit while the club scene seems to just go on around him. Such is the fate of the short and ugly in the jungle of LA's nightlife. After a bit, Crawley sets his phone down and gestures toward someone passing by the table alone. Likely they are on their way to the bathroom. It's a young man, maybe in his mid 20s, fresh from the dancing. The two of them exchange words for a minute as the geeky-looking dude seems very interested in his new 'friend'. Like he's staring at him intensely but the club guy does not seem to be buying whatever the little turd of a man is selling either. This, unlike the other two shoot-downs, seems to not sit well at all. The guy laughs and just shakes his head at the milkman. "Nah, dude," he says, "it ain't like that at all. I ain't about all that. I gotta take a piss, ya little freak." Still shaking his head, the guy wanders off toward the terlet. The McFly wannabe takes his phone in hand scowls, looking after the guy, "Well, fuck you very much then." He takes his cellphone in hand, his only true friend.

Ian drifts into the crowd after a moment, moving away from the bar without commentary and disappearing completely into it. He melds in neatly, not tall enough to stand out, not overdressed enough to be easily tracked. He gets lost in a sea of people, just one more person in the crowd.

"Wait," Tyler says, blinking. "This is /your/ place? But you're what, like ... 22?" He blinks again at Tabi, his eyes big and doe-like in his face as he turns to look her up and down again. "You must be a hell of a businesswoman. Seriously, to get this band to play here, after their hiatus? Amazing." He lifts his water glass to clink against Tabi's in a makeshift toast.

As Angela's last tune kicks in Clover's letting out a loud cheer, the night's performance still moving through his body while he stays close to his husband, his friend, the wild energy of the night keeping him lively and the drinks making that easy. "Missed you, handsome," Clo notes to his beloved before he nearly demands Silva dance wildly with him for this last track to give Angela the vida pura she deserves.

Tabi laughs, but nods her head at Tyler's question. "A -little- more than that", she replies. "...and why's someone gotta be old to have their own club, anyway?", is her counter, although she's smiling, still, as she says it. "I worked my ass off to get the Flux where it is, today", she adds, proudly, before taking another pull from the bottle in her hand.

+LOSE/+BURN> Silva burns 1 Willpower. Rain has left. +ROLL/+DICE> Silva: Appearance + Performance vs. 6 -> 2 successes. (8 8 4 3)

Flustered, Tyler shakes his head. "No, no, I didn't mean that at all," he counters. "I mean it was more impressive because you're so young!" He decides to shut up again after that so he can't put his foot in his mouth any further, and focuses on watching the last song the band's playing instead. Will smiles over at the entirety of the crowd on his way out, now that the show is over. While looking completely out of place, he clearly didn't have that bad of a time; he's as happy as a clam.

Angela holds her arms up in the air as 'Edgerunner' comes to an end and the lights dim for a moment, a pretty nice sheen of sweat covering the singer, she moves towards the edge of the stage, "You know I'm a horrible liar, don't you.?" she's talking to one girl in the front row jammed against the metal barricade.

The girl up front screams out "SKELETAL REMAINS!!!"

There's a wink from Angela and a low rumble of distorted keyboard as the lights of the stage flicker to match, it starts to rise up, an unearthly cacophony of beautiful noise that starts to take shape, forming itself somehow into music before peoples very ears. All the fans know what's happening, as Angela raises the microphone to her lips and begins to sing the first fierce words of Overdrives mega-hit 'Skeletal Remains' from the album of the same name.

Vacate your unearthly spirit Time wasting, life burning What do you discover? Those Skeletal Remaiiiins

"Ooooh!", Tabi says, eyes widening as Angela and the band start up that 'big hit' song. Standing up away from the bar, she starts kinda gyrating, dancing as she sings along as best she can.

Even Clo knows this one, laughing as he downs his entire fucking drink, sets it down, then woos loudly, bumping, thrusting, grinding and sometimes goofily jostling his fit but trim husband. "You got here in time for the crescendo, baby!" Clover says to his man, the femme redhead clinging to his slender mate, their dancing a mix of improvisation and simple intimate coincidence that makes a bit of a show for those with an eye for sensuality.

Well, after his little incident with the piss boy, milkman seems content to surf on his phone for a few minutes. About that time, Summer comes wandering by with her beau de jour, headed for the VIP. His gaze drifts to follow the pair of them as they wander upstairs. The phone momentarily abandoned as he forgets about it. Then, as they have headed upstairs, Crawley McFly slides out from behind the table, looking this way and that, before he too, heads toward the back of the club. As soon as he's out of sight, the guy is gone. Just like Kaiser Soze.

Everybody in the club knows this song, and apparently so does Tyler, who sets his glass down on the bar so he can clap along to the song, laughing and grinning with enthusiastic approval at Tabi's enthusiastic appreciation for the performers. As the song starts to wind down, he lifts on his toes to peer out over the crowd for his lost jacket, then gives an 'oh well' sort of shrug, and digs in his pocket for his phone instead.

"This has been fantastic! Big thanks to the Flux for letting us fuck up their Monday Nights!" she grins widely and raises a hand "Thank You! Goodnight!!" Angela fires a couple of picks out into the crowd, drumsticks come flying out soon after as the singer kisses her fingers and holds them up to the crowd in goodbye, there will be no encore after dropping Skeletal Remains as the last track, that much is certain, and the band leaves the stage to head into the back.

The big hit 'Skeletal Remains' comes to an end, and the crowd cheers and the band takes their bows... and the house lights flash on and off for a little while, the sound of the crowd's cheers almost deafening -- and there's, for that short while, no music playing in the club! The music- lacking interlude doesn't last long, though, as the lights stop flashing on and off and... music of the sort more usually heard here at The Flux Capacitor begins to play over the speakers.
