December 18, 2021: Have You Seen Me?
Those who enjoy the Los Angeles Tribune will encounter a front page article this morning, addressing the recent, mysterious disappearance of Deputy District Attorney Felicita Espinoza (Age 25).
Los Angeles, CA – A Mexican-American legal wunderkind, Felicita Espinoza was born to two wealthy and well-known lawyers. A studious girl who some say didn’t make friends easily as a child, she nonetheless applied herself and was accepted into UCLA, where she double-majored in Criminal Justice and Law. She was one of the youngest Deputy District Attorneys ever when hired by the Los Angeles County DA’s office in 2019.

Her friends remember Felicita as a gifted guitar player and singer in her spare time, and the law enforcement community remembers her as a tireless supporter and advocate for justice (as well as karaoke nights). She also had a passion for personal fitness, and was well known for her habit of jogging home at night. It was during one of these late night jogs where Miss Espinoza is feared to have been abducted, although the LAPD is remaining close-mouthed about current theories so as to spare her family any grief.
Felicita Espinoza’s supervisor, Special Assistant DA Tony Woo has attracted criticism for having assigned the relatively young Miss Espinoza to take point on confronting the infamously brutal Mexican cartels whose rivalries have been spilling over into Los Angeles County lately.
Special Assistant DA Tony Woo had this to say in response, “You didn’t know Felicita like I did. She was a fighter. When she wanted something she could be relentless. Everyone in this office admired Felicita for her…absolute unwillingness to compromise in the pursuit of justice. No one could have expected this would happen. In all likelihood, it had nothing to do with her job at all. I mean, I wouldn’t jog home at night in this city…But I guess that’s what separates someone like me from Felicita Espinoza. She was the kind of girl who would jog wherever she pleased. We’ll all miss her.”
Subsequent to that comment, Special Assistant DA Tony Woo attracted even greater criticism at appearing to write off Felicita Espinoza as dead without even her body having been found yet. At this time, the DA’s Office has not issued any other statement except to stress the most sincere condolences for Miss Espinoza’s family and friends, and a promise that justice will be done.
CRIME FEATURE: Three-Alarm Fire in the City of Commerce!
Commerce, CA – Late last night, numerous Fire Departments from all across Los Angeles, to include the City of Commerce, Vernon, and stations in East Los Angeles and Pico Rivera respond to reports of multiple explosions in one of the industrial yards located in the sprawling logistical hub of the county.
The San Andreas Foundation Company, providing preliminary and foundational site services to construction projects within the city, was reported to have a massive diesel fuel leak that ignited early Sunday morning, causing millions of dollars in damages, as the fuel tanks of several large pieces of construction equipment were ignited, leading to subsequent explosions that sent shrapnel and debris scattered into numerous buildings surrounding the heavy machinery yard. The cause of the fire is unknown, but preliminary reports state there was a breach in the perimeter fencing. LA Fire and Police are not releasing any details, however out of an abundance of caution, crime-scene tape encircles the yard, and investigators work into the mid-day hours combing the yard for any evidence.
Amateur reporters have sussed out that two are dead of severe trauma and burn wounds, and owing to the fire that took several hours to put out, were disfigured beyond identification, and industry experts with aerial photographs put the cost of damage in the yard to the heavy machinery at ‘tens of millions’, offering retail prices on foundation drilling rigs and pile drivers in the seven figures.
Already numerous social media accounts tagging both the fire and recent activism hashtags related to Endron Oil are attributing this to a protest action, an act of vandalism that has gone horribly wrong. SAF is noted to have been one of the companies involved in the initial construction phase of the Endron Oil Bristow Park site. When questioned about the nature of the incident at their headquarter yard, a spokesperson for the company declined to make an official statement regarding the incident, pending investigations, but iterated: “The safety of our employees and the jobs they perform are our chief concern, and we will be evaluating the situation as the investigation progresses.” Several workers for the company with social media accounts have mixed reactions, some in outrage over the loss in productivity, while several others celebrate tongue-in-cheek that they’ll get some paid vacation time during the abnormally busy winter season.
In the late afternoon, the public relations social media accounts for Endron Oil put out a statement in response to media inquiries and preliminary remarks from SAFCo., expressing their condolences for the loss of life, and reassuring the concerned public that the safety of their employees and contracted workers are important. “While we do not expect this to have a significant impact to the timetable of our project at our new Bristow Site, we will be offering security services to our other contracted companies in the wake of speculation surrounding the issue.”

Endron was recently in news related to industrial protesting after awarding one Mizhakwan Peltier their ‘Endron Endurance’ award and paying for her stay at Adventist Memorial Hospital, following her traumatic injuries after an anti-Catholic hate crime in nearby Boyle Heights.
