A sighting of the deceased former Wyrm Foe James "Things-Break" Wu in Bunker Hill is reported and rumors begin to spread.
Sept Alpha Liam "Peacekeeper" King is mortally wounded by a baneklaive and is presumed dead, only to later re-emerge and rally the Sept.
Nate "Silent-Volcano" is killed in action and the duties of Master of Challenges are assumed by the Alpha.
Ripley "Always-Pure" is reported to have been captured by Black Spiral Dancers, and the duties of Warder are assumed by the Gatekeeper.
Basilia "Nike" is incapacitated and returns to the Western Eye to recover, vacating the position of Wyrm Foe.
Vanguard's Roar, the Pack of Lion, disbands after losing three of its members, and Lion falls into a slumber.
All but one of the Fountainhead Pack, the Pack of Easy Credit, are killed by Black Spiral Dancers invading Culver City.

The Sept launches a failed assault on Temple-Beaudry, a known entrance to a Black Spiral Dancer hive running beneath Los Angeles.
Wyrm Foe James "Things-Break" Wu—son of Elder Gideon Wu—leads the assault as his Challenge for Athro, but is killed in an ambush.
Only-Ghosts-Behind-Him, Warder for nearly thirty years, is challenged by Ripley "Always-Pure" and is defeated, yielding his position and leaving in self-imposed exile.
Basilia "Nike" arrives from the Sept of the Western Eye and claims the position of Wyrm Foe.
Alexa "Forged-in-Flames" arrives from the Sept of the Western Eye and claims the position of Master of the Howl.
